North Carolina Emergency Nurses Symposium 2026
Call for Speakers

The North Carolina Emergency Nurses Symposium 2026 is the region’s premier emergency nursing event of the year bringing together stretcher-side emergency nurses, advanced practice nurses, educators, managers, and directors for cutting-edge clinical and leadership education and networking.  The program will be held November 5-6, 2026, at AB Tech Conference Center, 16 Fernihurst Drive, Asheville, NC.

The North Carolina Emergency Nurses Association is looking for engaging speakers to present cutting-edge, evidenced-based education on both clinical and leadership emergency nursing topics.  Presentation styles may include case-based format, panel discussion, or general presentation.  All sessions are 60 minutes, which includes a 50-minute presentation and allows 10 minutes for questions/discussion.  Presenters may submit more than one presentation for consideration.  A podium, wireless microphone, and laptop will be provided for all presenters.  Suggested topics include, but not limited to:

• Pediatrics
• Geriatrics
• Emergency Preparedness
• Burns
• Trauma
• Stroke
• Workplace Violence
• Toxicology/OD
• AI/Technology in Healthcare
• Cardiac
• Triage
• OB Emergencies in ED
• Leadership/Management
• Resiliency/Burn-Out

Honorarium:
$350.00 honorarium for the primary presenter

Submission of Proposals:
Presenters must complete the online presenter form and attach or email their curriculum vitae (CV),to the NCENA Education Committee no later than April 17, 2026.

The NCENA Education Committee will confirm receipt of submitted proposals within 48 hours of submission.  All selected presenters will be notified by April 23, 2026 of their selection and date/time slot.  Selected presenters must confirm their availability for their selected date/time slot no later than April 30, 2026.
